The 15th is just more than a day away now, so while the ides is a bad time of the month if you are a Roman emperor it is a great time if you are a science fiction fan in Ireland.
Octocon the 15th national Irish science fiction convention opens this Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and registration opens at 9:00 a.m. Even if you are not pre-registered you can still join on the day so come on out.
Now while technically the convention starts Saturday morning. Both fans in the know and Roman senators are wise to the fact that many attendees will be gathering at the Glenroyal hotel bar from 7:00 p.m. on Friday night.
